“La minaudière” is the name used in French for this rigid, small and often oval or rectangular clutch. While this particular clutch can be found in many of the top designers’ collections, the way Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen have integrated their own particular and signature style in the elaboration of their clutches is very inspiring.
Moreover, it is even more interesting to look at their opposite style, while one is more elegant and sober; the other carries provocation and edginess through an original and audacious style. Opposing them reveals the variety and paradox we can find in fashion, with every taste finding its happiness.
