Reading Therapy!

Reading is the only way I personally found to de-focus on my thoughts and take a break from some of my stress.

As a matter of fact, have you ever noticed that often while watching a TV show or a movie you realise that your mind is miles away, worrying or anticipating on a situation? In other words, you are everywhere but in the present moment where you should be, following the track of the movie or show.

Whereas, on the other hand, when reading there is no way of cheating as very quickly you would realise if your mind has slipped away, noticing that you don’t understand a word of what you are reading. Also, you have to create your own images and interpretation of the story, leaving your imagination free, making your brain work in a relaxing way, embarking you in a change of scenery trip.

At the moment, I am reading the following book that I would recommend strongly as it is a very touching and precious book that will take you on a trip back in time, while encountering interesting and lovable characters. In other word, a real treasure!

What are you reading??

I loved this book!
The characters are very attaching, the structure of the book is very intellengently made and you can't put it down. The story is told through the point of view of all the different characters, and having all those different points of view makes it even more interesting
A real jewel!!!
Another book I really enjoyed recently is "The help" from Kathryn Stockett. Another very attaching story about segregation in the United States in the beginning of the 60's. A must read!
