Where The Dream Takes You...

I recently came across these series of photographs, Annie Leibovitz realized upon Disney’s request. In 2007, the photographer lent her eye to the magical world of Disney as she produced a suite of photos which placed famous celebrities into fairy tale scenes from Walt Disney most iconic films. The set included a variety of stars such as: Scarlett Johansson (aka Cinderella), David Beckham (aka Prince Richard), Penelope Cruz (aka Beauty) etc.

The photographer did an amazing job as I think that the dreamy-look of the pictures is completely palpable and that one enters quite easily into the story which is told in each of them. The setting, the costumes, the actor’s performances as well as the overall vibe released, contribute to create images our inner child feels close too. On each of the pictures you will see a caption beginning by “Where….” as an illustration of the scene.

Not only are these pictures a reproduction of some of our favorite cartoons from our childhood, they are also the personal look and interpretation of the photograph on these fairy tales.
