Bye Bye Hannah, Hello Clare!

The fashion world which has a “mercato” of its own has seen another major change. As a matter of fact, after months of speculation, the rumours that Chloe’s creative director Hannah MacGibbon will leave the house, has been confirmed today. Chloe released a statement this morning stating that "Hannah will leave the house to pursue new projects". Moreover, Geoffroy De La Bourdonnaye, CEO of the brand, spoke highly of the former creative director and said "We are grateful for her contribution and commitment to Chloé. Her considerable talents will be missed".

Note that she will be replaced by Clare Waight Keller as creative director of French brand, Chloe.

British-born, the designer is the woman behind the transformation of Pringle of Scotland into a contemporary fashion brand, which she has resigned from in March 2011 after being the creative director since 2005 citing “personal reasons”. Before that, she has been formed to the designer job by Tom Ford at Gucci to then work at Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. I wish her all the best at Chloe and will be watching the summer 2012 collection with great attention, but will deeply regret Hannah MacGibbon whom I love for the way she has brought her own personal touch while continuing Chloe’s effortless feminity and grace.

In order to give a homage to the one who has been the first to bring the ballerina look on the runways in her summer 2011 show, I wish to feature here some of my favorite pieces from her last collection at Chloe.
