Miu Miu has launched a series of short films directed by distinctive female filmmakers with different styles and backgrounds who lend their artistic eye in order to reveal Miu Miu's collection, while at the same time giving their own interpretation and definition of feminity.
The first short movie presented, which takes place in the London Claridges Hotel, is directed by Zoe Cassavetes and named "The Powder Room", revealing the beauty games and rituals going on in this out-of-time place where women indulge in their feminity. The dreamy-like atmosphere of this place is opposed to the dramatic side of the story line, communicated exclusively by the body expressions and the gaze of the protagonist (played by Audrey Marnay).
Zoe Cassavetes said the following regarding her choice of scenary for the short film: "I love the idea of a powder room, the ritual which takes place within them is very important for women. (...) There is something special about preparing yourself, a moment before the action takes place. I love the sense of intimacy."
The next directors will be revealed on miumiu.com shortly.
In the meantime, enter this ultra-feminine and intimate place embellished by Miu Miu's delicate and romantic collection.
