You spin my head right round!

Sunglasses as well as optical glasses step in as fashion accessories of their own this spring with the new trend being round-framed glasses for a retro look!

It seems as if our society is filled with nostalgia as we always tend to look back on past trends and past periods in order to find inspiration.

I often wonder, how long will we continue to resuscitate trends from the 50’s,60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s (not so much) without bringing new fashion innovations?? Have we simply lost it? Do we live in times were inspiration traduces in technologic and scientific progress rather than in styles that in years we will call the 00’s or the 2000’s? Fashion should translate the period in which we live in, acting as a real mirror of our time, so by bringing back successively trends from the past is quite antagonistic with that way of thinking.

Don’t get me wrong, we are lucky to have very talented designers who bring their own contribution to what we call fashion, but it seems as if even they are inspired by the past rather than by the present.
