Bridal Fever!

Bridal designer also get to have their own fashion week and it is a few days ago that New York Bridal Week happened, just a few weeks before THE wedding, thus adding to the real “wedding fever” heating up in many parts of the world, not only in the UK!!

As a matter of fact, the big apple hosted this event for two days between the 9th and 11th of April, during which designers such as Marchesa, Vera Wang and Oscar De La Renta presented their Spring 2012 bridal collections while proposing us utterly feminine, delicate and romantic gowns, in other words, typical dream-like wedding dresses.

I find it amazing how wedding dresses and, in general everything that revolves around the wedding, moves and interests so many of us, groom or no groom… Even in our modern times where marriage isn’t a sine quanon conditions to couple life, wedding still carries this dreamy and idyllic aspect, many people are still looking at with amazement.

Also, I love that a fashion week is dedicated to bridal design, first of all simply because it’s beautiful and thus creates magnificent shows but also because for someone looking for inspiration for their own wedding dress, nothing is better than looking at a compilation of the best designer’s collections.

Bridal gowns, have evolved widely with times and now a collection of bridal gowns could be as complex and diversified than a usual clothing line. White or ivory, long or short, lace or tulle, long or short veil, corset or no corset, well you got the point…;-)
