Fashion Week! Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2011

Delicate, feminine, elegant, princess-like, sophisticated, no word could describe fully Elie Saab’s new Haute Couture collection.

Pink, red and pastel blue were the main colours used for the dresses, which were for the majority long. Each model seem to have been studied as a work of art as each detail appears to have been thought through in order to create every single time, THE perfect dress. The show was quite different to what Elie Saab had got us used to as this collection was much more sober than usual with the designer using mostly texture as mousseline, organza, tulle…. A softness and sweetness which seduced unconditionally. Also, by presenting a wide range of dress models, the designer was targeting every single woman as we can find one for every taste. Draped, glittering, covered with flowers and small incrusted pearls, the dresses were all different but shared the same elegance and dream-like aspect.

In other words, a hymn to feminism!

Beautiful beautiful dreamy dresses. Saw the video and it was definitely worth it, and the models weren't scowling which makes it even better. Perfect choice
