A New Fashion Duet

Emma Watson continuously outgrows her Harry Potter linked fame while imposing herself in the fashion world little by little.

After being the face of the British label Burberry, the young actress has now been chosen by Lancôme to be the face of the new fragrance “Trésor Midnight Rose”. Not only does Emma Watson participate in ad campaigns for great labels, she also explores fashion design as she collaborated three times with the eco-friendly brand People Tree in the past.

And now, Emma Watson is pursuing this path as she signed a capsule collection for Alberta Ferretti. As a matter of fact, the famous Italian designer teamed up with her, producing a romantic collection, composed by small pieces made with organic cotton, muslin and hemp. In the collection you will find, two dresses, a shirt, a maxi-skirt, a short, and everything will be embroided for a very romantic and summery feel. The clothes will of course be eco-friendly thus contributing to a somewhat consciousness on the ecologic menace from the fashion industry.

The collection will be available from the end of March and offered exclusively on the website http://www.albertaferretti.com/. Plus, note that the packages will also be organic!!

I really love a few facts about that news!

First of all, love the fact that two very different person, from very different backgrounds and of different ages decide to team up in order to bring together their creativeness and experience.

Also, I like the aspect of the capsule collection which is the illustration of “quality over quantity”. As a matter of fact, the collection is by definition very small and limited, and by consequence, every single piece is though with great attention, and comes out as a unique piece. The fact that it is a one time collaboration and a unique collection, brings an ephemeral side to the line, seen as something that is only temporary and that you have to grasp at the moment it comes out or it will be too late.

And finally, of course I do love the eco-friendly characteristic of the collection as it comes in as an additional proof that organic clothes do not mean boring or tasteless clothes. Fashion can go hand by hand with eco-friendly principles and this is something that has to be anchored more strongly in people’s mind.
